PTA Events and Chairs:

Communications Committee

Website: Work with the board to keep the PTA website running and up to date with information.

Flyer Designer: Work with the board and event chairperson to create flyers for events and communications for the PTA.

Email & Social Media chair: Work closely with the board to encourage participation via the internet.

Translator (into spanish) - All the communications need to be translated into Spanish so we need a bilingual person to volunteer.

Enrichment Committees

Staff Appreciation committee provides luncheons and/or breakfasts throughout the year for the faculty and staff; coordinates Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week. The time commitment is periodic, with the greatest concentration in the spring for Appreciation Week.

BSF Ambassador: This person will help advocate for the Bellevue Schools Foundation. The BSF provides our school with money for special programs and curriculum that goes beyond funding of the government.

Grant Chair: this chair must be good at written communication. This person writes documents asking for money from the Bellevue Schools Foundation.

Fundraising & Outreach Committees

Membership chair coordinates PTA Membership drive and attends school-wide events at the beginning of the year to encourage parent and teacher participation in the PTA. Requires more time during the summer and the start of the school year.

Volunteer Chair: this person keeps lists of volunteers and calls/emails them when we have a shortage of volunteers.

Social & Community

Reflections is a national PTA program for the arts that encourages students to explore their visual, literary, photographic and musical talents on a given theme. Local professionals judge the student’s work with the potential to advance through the state and on to the national level.

Spelling Bee is a national PTA program for students to show their proficiency in English language spelling. The student’s have the potential to advance through the state and to the national level.
